Sam Burns/Scottie Scheffler vs. Sebastion Munoz/Sung-Jae Im
In the only Team USA loss of the day, Scheffler and Burns faded down the stretch losing the last four holes to lose the match by 2 up. Now, Sun-Jae Im will welcome in a new teammate, as Munoz comes in cold.
Just 1-4-1 in match play in his career, this is a questionable move by the International team, and one I think comes back to bite them. It’s also worth noting that Munoz missed the cut in his 2021 appearance here at Quail Hollow.
I think we see the world No. 1 get back on track here and lead his side to victory.

Billy Horschel/Max Homa vs. Corey Conners/Taylor Pendrith
Billy Horschel will swap places with Tony Finau on Friday as he teams up with Max Homa for Team USA. Mito Pereira will also be swapped out for the International team as Corey Conners makes his debut with Pendrith.
As one of only two past winners here at Quail Hollow, Homa played well on Thursday, improving to 4-3 in match play as he welcomes Horschel. As far as Horschel is concerned, a strong matchplay record of 13-7-2 was likely a big reason Davis Love III rotated him in here, and I like for that experience to be the difference maker here.
