2022 Wimbledon: Ons Jabeur Betting Odds, Preview & Prediction
On the Menâs side, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Andy Murray have combined to win the previous ten Wimbledon titles. On the Womenâs side, there has been much more parity, as Wimbledon has crowned a different champion each of the last five years. The closest thing to dominance in that span has been Serena Williams, who has won three titles and finished runner-up on two other occasions. However, there has been an overall dominant force on the WTA for the last several months, as Iga Swiatek has won 35 consecutive matches, tying Venus Williamsâ mark for the longest consecutive match winning streak by a woman in this century.

The Womenâs Draw received a big jolt with the inclusion of Serena Williams, who will play her first Grand Slam event in 12 months. However, there are also notable absences, such as Aryna Sabalenka, Daria Kasatkina, Victoria Azarenka, and Ekaterina Alexandrova, as Wimbledon has banned all players from Russia and Belarus due to the ongoing war in the Ukraine. And most-recently, Naomi Osaka announced she would miss Wimbledon because of an Achilles injury. However, she was also critical of Wimbledon feeling like an exhibition this year as the tournament temporarily did away with ranking points.
This is the first annual BettingPros Guide to Wimbledon, where we will highlight several of the top contenders from both the Menâs and Womenâs Draws.
Is any player poised to challenge Swiatek and end her historic winning streak? Will any woman break through for their first Grand Slam title with a somewhat compromised Wimbledon field?

Ons Jabeur Wimbledon History
After three years of getting upset in the first or second round, Jabeur made a deep run to the quarterfinals last year at Wimbledon. She earned three consecutive impressive victories over Venus Williams, Garbine Muguruza, and Iga Swiatek, before losing to No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka. Overall, Jabeur is 5-4 at Wimbledon, and her 56% winning percentage is slightly ahead of her career record at the Australian Open and US Open, making Wimbledon her second-most successful Grand Slam event.
Ons Jabeur Recent Form
The Bett1Open in Berlin was Jabeurâs fourth final in a season where she has reached a career-high ranking of third in the world. Her boost in the rankings was also largely from winning the Madrid Open, becoming the first African and first Arab player to win a WTA 1000 event. Thus, her win in Berlin likely makes up for a surprising first-round exit at Roland Garros.
Jabeur withdrew from singles play at the Eastbourne International but still partnered with Serena Williams in doubles.
Ons Jabeur Wimbledon Predictions
The Pick: Ons Jabeur to Win Her Quarter (+160 on DraftKings)
Jabeur leaped Coco Gauff as the second-shortest pre-tournament favorite, as the American was placed in arguably the toughest of the four quarters. Jabeur pulled out of Eastbourne last week with a knee injury, depriving fans of the opportunity to see her doubles partner, Serena Williams, tune-up once before Wimbledon. However, Jabeurâs injury does not seem to hinder her plans to play or be successful at Wimbledon. The Tunisian was given a favorable draw, with Kaia Kanepi in the third round being her likeliest test before the semifinals.
Jabeur does have the 2018 champion, Angelique Kerber, in her half of the draw. Still, Kerber has her own landmines to navigate with Magda Linette and Elise Mertens as possible second and third-round opponents. Thus, Jabeur is a solid bet at +160 to win her quarter, but with the unknowns of her knee injury, we cannot back her odds to win the title until we see how she looks on the court.
