Friday’s Best FIBA World Cup Player Prop Bets

(Odds courtesy of  FanDuel Sportsbook)

Anthony Edwards (United States) Over 15.5 Points (-114)

Anthony Edwards has averaged 16.3 points in just 20.9 minutes per game. However, we’re getting deeper into the Tournament. There likely won’t be 30-point blowouts anymore. The USA starters should get more action, including their best scorer, Edwards.

In the USA’s last game, Edwards drained 8-of-16 from the floor and scored 22 points in 19 minutes. No other player had more than eight field goal attempts. But Edwards took 16 and was the only player who hit at least three threes. He’s feeling good and will be the primary scorer down the stretch for the USA.

Tyrese Halliburton (United States) Under 4.5 Assists (-130)

Tyrese Halliburton has had just three assists in two of the first three games for the US. He played a team-high 21 minutes off the bench in the USA’s win over Jordan and added six assists. But in the previous two games, he only had three assists each.

Again, the starters will likely see more minutes on the court moving forward. Austin Reaves has also averaged more assists per game coming off the bench. He’s always a threat to steal some assists from Haliburton. Jalen Brunson starts for the United States and potentially earns more minutes as the Tournament progresses.

I’m on Halliburton’s Under.

Luka Doncic (Slovenia) Under 31.5 Points (-114)

This won’t come as a surprise, but Luka Doncic has led the FIBA World Cup in points with 30 points per game. He’s shot 45.5% from the field and has only drained 24% from three. However, he’s earned nearly 15 foul shots per game and has hit 77.3% of those freebies.

However, against Cape Verde, he only scored 19 points, on 5-for-17 from the floor in his last matchup. Now he’ll face an Australian team with some excellent, quality defenders. Doncic might earn a triple-double, but asking him to score 32 points after he only scored 19 a couple of games before it’s pushing it.

Josh Giddey (Australia) Over 7.5 Assists (-130)

Josh Giddey is 7th in the FIBA World Cup in assists per game with 7.3. Giddey dominated in his last game against Japan, adding 26 points with 11 assists and five rebounds. This game is expected to be high-scoring and close. This is one of the matchups on Friday that could go either way.

Giddey has become the star player for Australia. He’s got solid depth coming off the bench like Xavier Cooks, who added 24 points and 16 rebounds on 12-for-20 against Japan. Giddey also has Josh Green and Patty Mills, who are capable scorers.

Grab Giddey to go Over 7.5 assists against Slovenia.
