2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks (Sunday)
The Group Stage of the FIBA World Cup has begun! Weâve had some interesting outcomes to start the whole tournament!
For example, Carlik Jones of South Sudan added 35 points on 54.5% from the field, but South Sudan lost overtime to Tremont Waters and Puerto Rico. That was the best matchup of Saturday.
Hereâs a look into the matchups on Sunday morning.
Best 2023 FIBA World Cup Same-Game Parlay Bets (Sunday)
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Dominican Republic vs. Italy (-6.5), Total 169.5
- Leg 1: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 24.5 Points (-165)
- Leg 2: Simone Fontecchio Over 19.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 9.5 Rebounds (-115)
- Parlay Odds: +340
Karl-Anthony Towns added 26 points in the Dominican Republicâs first game against the Philippines. However, he only shot 31.3% from the field and shot 20% from downtown. Youâd have to imagine that he becomes more efficient from the field as he gets more comfortable on the floor. Towns fed off free throws, but heâll have to shoot at a higher percentage for the Dominican Republic to win beyond the Group Stage.
Towns added 16 shots from the field. However, he only made five shots. Yet, he still scored 26 points. Therefore, Iâll take his Over 24.5 points to begin the parlay.
The Dominican center also added ten rebounds in the game. He hauled in seven defensive rebounds and three on the offensive side of the ball. Knowing that he played nearly 35 minutes in the first game, Iâm confident heâll be more efficient throughout the box score in his second matchup.
On the other hand, Italy will rely heavily on Simone Fontecchio. He shot 57.1% from the floor but only went 1-for-6 from three. He also got to the line and added two free throws. Fontecchio played just 27.1 minutes, but Italy would be wise to play him more, especially if Twons will be on the floor for over 35 minutes. Heâll get 20+.
Latvia vs. France (-12.5), Total 160
- Leg 1: Nic Batum Over 4.5 Rebounds (+135)
- Leg 2: Davis Bertans Over 14.5 Points (-120)
- Leg 3: Nic Batum Over 4.5 Points (-250)
- Parlay Odds: +155
Davis Bertans scored 10 points in just 17.1 minutes of action in Latviaâs dominating win to start the World Cup. Youâd have to imagine that Latvia and France will play a much tighter game. Bertans should earn more than 17 minutes moving forward. He also took seven threes in that first game. Heâs trigger-happy from downtown and should find ways to the foul line against France.
On the other hand, Nic Batum gave France nothing against Canada in his first game. He added no points and four rebounds after a deflating defeat to Canada. Batum is a veteran. Heâs no longer young. But heâs needed if France wants to make a run at making the next round of the FIBA World Cup.
Batum has had a history of dominating in international play. He still got the start and will likely earn more than 25 minutes in a closer game against Latvia. If heâs on the floor for 30+ minutes, Batum better fill up that box score!
