Perform has won his last two races, but has not faced strong competition. Back in January at Gulfstream Park, the horse finished fourth in a seven furlong race featuring favorite Mage. He also finished behind Kentucky Derby horses Disarm and Raise Cain in races in late 2022. Though hot now, it’s going to be a difficult ride for Perform in a tough field.

Perform One Profile
Perform is a four-year-old bay colt that was foaled in Kentucky in 2019. He is currently owned by John C. Oxley and trained by Mark E. Casse. Perform’s sire is Speightstown, a Grade I-winning sprinter whose offspring have won over $108 million in prize money. His dam is Alwajeeha, who won the Grade II Distaff Handicap and earned over $550,000 in prize money.
Perform made his racing debut on September 19, 2021, when he finished third in a maiden special weight race at Woodbine Racetrack. He then went on to claim his first victory in his next start, which was also a maiden special weight race at Woodbine.
Perform’s biggest success to date came in October 2022, when he won the Grade III Bold Ruler Handicap at Belmont Park in New York. The race was contested over seven furlongs, with Perform coming out on top by one and a quarter lengths.
Perform’s future prospects look bright, with the colt showing plenty of promise in his early career. He has already earned over $230,000 in prize money, and there is every expectation that this figure will continue to rise as he takes on tougher competition.
