2023 The Genesis Invitational: Best Longshot Picks & Predictions
With the WM Phoenix Open in the rearview mirror, we now look forward to this weekâs Genesis Invitational in California. Riviera Country Club will host this tournament once again, which has been the primary host for this event since 1973.
Riviera CC is a par-71, 7,322-yard track that benefits long hitters. Looking at the top of previous leaderboards, the statistic that predicts the most success at this course is Driving Distance.
Below, I will give out my two best longshot bets to win The Genesis Invitational.

2023 The Genesis Invitational: Best Longshot Picks & Predictions
These plays are 0.2u and 0.1u, or 0.2% and 0.1% of your betting bankroll.
Cameron Young (+3500 via DraftKings Sportsbook): 0.2u
The first golfer weâre targeting this week is Cameron Young, who sits at 35/1. The 2021-22 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year winner is off to yet another strong start this season, making all five of his cuts.
Of those five made cuts, Young boasts three top-26 finishes, including his T13 finish at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, which featured a field with similar strength to this weekend. A big part of Youngâs success is due to his excellent ability out of the tee box.
On TOUR this season, Young ranks eighth in Driving Distance and 24th in SG: Off the Tee. Also strong in his iron/wedge game, Young ranks 34th this season in SG: Approach the Green.
There is no reason to believe Young cannot utilize this strong play to post a good result this week, especially because he finished second at this tournament last year. At 35/1, it is worth taking a shot on the New York native to redeem himself this year.
Wyndham Clark (+8000 via DraftKings Sportsbook): 0.1u
Another golfer we are targeting this week is Wyndham Clark, who sits at 80/1 via DraftKings Sportsbook. Fresh off his T10 finish at the WM Phoenix Open, Clark possesses an impressive resumé to start the 2022-23 campaign,
Over his last seven tournaments, Clark has made the cut all seven times and boasts four top-16 finishes. Like Young, a big part of Clarkâs success is due to his performance on of the tee box.
On TOUR this season, Clark ranks sixth in Driving Distance and 68th in SG: Off the Tee. Also a strong iron player, he ranks 45th in SG: Tee to Green.
So how has Clark fared at Riviera CC? Before his DQ last year, he posted an eighth-place finish in 2021 and a 17th-place finish in 2020.
At 80/1, Clark is worth a flyer this year with his strong driver.
Other Outright Winner Plays:
- Jon Rahm (+845 via Circa): 0.4u
- Patrick Cantlay (+2500 via BetMGM): 0.3u
Best of luck!
