With the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes in the rearview mirror, it’s time for the 2024 Belmont Stakes. The final jewel of the triple crown, the Test of the Champion is typically the longest of the three races at a full 1.5 miles. However, the 2024 version of the Belmont States will run at the historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., rather than Belmont Park, as renovations are underway at the race's usual home. That means the distance is being shortened from 1.5 miles to 1.25 miles due to the difference in track circumference. Seize the Grey Belmont Stakes Predictions

Seize the Grey deserves all the credit in the world for winning the Preakness Stakes. However, there are some holes worth poking into the victory. For starters, the win came on a muddy track, which is a significant variable. The other hole is the fact that Seize the Grey was pretty much given a free run to the lead with little resistance. The lead turned out to be insurmountable. With rain potentially in the forecast, the recent run on an off track could favor Seize the Grey.
This horse is on quite a run winning its last two starts. But this will be Seize the Grey’s third race since May 4, and it’s fair to wonder how much gas the horse will have even if it sets the pace again at Saratoga. Seize the Grey is a horse to consider in the back-end of exotics, but he won’t be a win contender for me.
