With the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes in the rearview mirror, it’s time for the 2024 Belmont Stakes. The final jewel of the triple crown, the Test of the Champion is typically the longest of the three races at a full 1.5 miles. However, the 2024 version of the Belmont States will run at the historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., rather than Belmont Park, as renovations are underway at the race's usual home. That means the distance is being shortened from 1.5 miles to 1.25 miles due to the difference in track circumference. Below, we take a look at the current Belmont Stakes odds, post position and expert advice for The Wine Steward.

The Wine Steward has run in six career races and has never finished worse than second in any of them. He owns three career victories and three career second place finishes. One of those seconds was to Antiquarian in the Peter Pan. Tested and rested, this is his toughest field to date.
