I’d venture to say Tyrell Hatton is pretty familiar with Royal Troon Golf Club, considering his best British Open finish came at the course back in 2016. The Englishman shot -4 (70-71-71-68), which landed him in fifth place. Interestingly, that fifth-place performance still stands as Hatton’s best major finish. He finished sixth at Royal Portrush in 2019, which is his only other top-10 outing in the Open Championship.

Tyrrell Hatton Recent Form

Hatton has been in great form recently. The 32-year-old won LIV Golf Nashville in June and followed it up with a third-place finish at LIV Golf Andalucia in July. Weighing those finishes relative to the competition faced is an argument for a different day. However, Hatton has played five PGA tour events this year, with solid showings at the Sentry (14th) and the Sony Open (13th) in January. He also had a ninth-place finish at the Masters in April.
