2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Adam Scott

It’s Masters week, which means we’ll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that’s home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player’s course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year’s tournament has no shortage of compelling story lines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour — including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed — will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Welcome to the third annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the golfers with the best chances of earning the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Sit back and read on.

  • World Ranking: 52

Course History

Scott won a green jacket in 2013, which is his lone major victory to date. The 43-year-old Aussie ranks 39th in strokes gained: total in 2024. He’s also 22nd in going for the green. His putting average at 22 is also good; paired with 12th in par 3 birdie or better leaders. However, Scott hasn’t finished inside the top 30 since going 18th at Augusta in 2019.

Recent Form

We haven’t seen Scott perform well since the WM Phoenix Open and Genesis Invitational in mid-February when he logged an eighth-place finish and a 19th-place finish. A missed cut and 45th-place finish at THE PLAYERS Championship showcase recent regression in the Aussie’s game.

Betting Outlook

There isn’t much to get excited about when it comes to betting on Adam Scott at Augusta. He’s consistently finishing outside the top 30 in the field, so while he is due for a bounce-back at some point, his recent form indicates Scott is a prospect to fade in betting markets this week.
