2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Bryson DeChambeau

It’s Masters week, which means we’ll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that’s home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player’s course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year’s tournament has no shortage of compelling storylines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour – including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed – will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Welcome to the third annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the golfers with the best chances of earning the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Sit back and read on.

Course History

You have to go back to 2016 to find Bryson DeChambeau’s best finish at the Masters. Since then, the 30-year-old hasn’t played well at Augusta National, bagging only one top-30 finish (29th in 2019). This includes a current streak where he’s missed two consecutive cuts at Augusta. DeChambeau registered 74s on Thursday and Friday last year.

Recent Form

It has been a somewhat fruitful year for DeChambeau on the LIV circuit. He hasn’t won a tournament, but he did have a fourth-place finish at the Jeddah tournament in early March, to go along with three other top-10 finishes. Speaking of wins, the electrifying DeChambeau hasn’t won an event since the LIV Golf Invitational Chicago in September 2023, which marked two wins in three tournaments for him.

Betting Outlook

I’m certainly not rushing to the window to place any bets on DeChambeau this weekend. His style of bombing it down the fairway simply doesn’t translate to Augusta, where golfers must bring a more meticulous approach to the course. I’ll pass on DeChambeau bets for this event.
