Course History

Japanâ€™s national golf treasure has been in the hunt at Augusta for a decade, and he claimed a green jacket in 2021 thanks to a third-round 65 to hold off Will Zalatoris by a shot. Matsuyama has finished in the top 20 in eight of his last 10 appearances, and he was low amateur in 2011. The 32-year-old seems to love it at The Masters.

Recent Form

Matsuyama comes into Augusta scorching hot, with five straight finishes of T25 or better. That includes a win at The Genesis Invitational and back-to-back top-10s at The Players Championship and the Valero Texas Open. Youâ€™d be hard-pressed to find a golfer playing as well as Matsuyama is right now.
