It’s Masters week, which means we’ll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that’s home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player’s course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year’s tournament has no shortage of compelling story lines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour — including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed — will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Course History

Jon Rahm has been among the most consistently good golfers at Augusta National. His comeback win in 2023 earned the Spaniard his first win at The Masters, relying on his strong off-the-tee and strokes gained on approach skillset. Currently ranked first in birdies (5.17), second for greens in regulation rate and 21st in putting average at LIV, Rahm is poised to contend down the stretch as he attempts to defend his title.

Recent Form

LIV Golf’s team format is different than the PGA Tour events, however, Rahm and his teammates, named Legion XIII, are second in total points through four events played. Legion XIII hasn’t won yet but Rahm’s stats jump off the page, as he’s also sixth in scrambling and 15th for fairways hit rate.

Betting Outlook
