2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Justin Rose

It's Masters week, which means we'll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that's home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player's course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year's tournament has no shortage of compelling story lines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour — including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed — will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Welcome to the third annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We're going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the golfers with the best chances of earning the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Sit back and read on.

Course History

When it comes to some of the most go-about-your-business yet experienced veterans on the PGA Tour, look no further than Justin Rose. With 18 Masters appearances under his belt, Rose always emerges as a popular sleeper pick to finish in the top 10 at Augusta. The 43-year-old Englishman will approach Magnolia Lane in so-so form as it relates to this PGA Tour season, yet his experience at the Masters should provide him with confidence. He finished second here in 2015 and 2017.

Recent Form

Rose started the calendar year making five straight cuts before failing to play the weekend in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and THE PLAYERS Championship. While Friday may be most people's favorite day of the week, Rose carded a 77 on Friday in each of those two events, sending him home early on back-to-back weekends. With his best finish this season coming at the weather-shortened AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am (T11), Rose is hopeful that experience will take over and catapult him into contention at Augusta, where he often seems to find himself.

Betting Outlook

Experience and course knowledge could help Rose breakthrough for his first major victory since the 2013 U.S. Open, even though his recent form hasn't been great. It's worth considering a small bet on Rose.
