2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Justin Thomas

It's Masters week, which means we'll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that's home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player's course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year's tournament has no shortage of compelling storylines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour - including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed - will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Welcome to the third annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We're going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the golfers with the best chances of earning the coveted Green Jacket. Course History

Justin Thomas' best performance at Augusta National came in the COVID-19 year of 2020, when the tournament was played in November. The now-30-year-old got off to an excellent start that tournament, shooting a 66 in the opening round. However, 2020 and an eighth-place finish in 2022 are the extent of noteworthy success at the Major event. Thomas missed the cut last year, which was the first time that has occurred in his career.

Recent Form

The 2024 calendar year got off to a roaring start for Thomas, as he bagged a third-place finish at The American Express and followed it up with a sixth-place outing at Pebble Beach. However, It has been downhill since, as Thomas hasn't secured a top-10 finish over the five subsequent tournaments. He's just 56th in the shots gained: total.

Betting Outlook

With Thomas' recent form and inconsistency at The Masters, I won't be placing any futures on him this year. When the odds are released, and if the price is right, I may sprinkle a couple of dollars on Thomas to miss the cut, just like he did in 2023.
