2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Ludvig Aberg

It’s Masters week, which means we’ll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that’s home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player’s course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year’s tournament has no shortage of compelling story lines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour — including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed — will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Welcome to the third annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the golfers with the best chances of earning the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Sit back and read on.

Course History

Ludvig Aberg represents the exciting future of professional golf. The young Swede competed in the Ryder Cup last year before even teeing it up in a major championship. This is his first of many trips to Augusta.

Recent Form

Steady goes it for Ludvig Aberg. He continues to rise leaderboards and contend in his second season on the PGA Tour. His all-around game is almost robotic in its consistency, making him an intriguing play at Augusta.

Betting Outlook

One little nitpick about Ludvig Aberg is that the books have consistently been over their skis when setting his odds. This being his first ever major appearance gives me pause, especially when Augusta National is notoriously unkind to newcomers. I’d only begin to consider betting on Aberg at +3500 or higher.
