2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Rickie Fowler

It's Masters week, which means we'll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that's home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player's course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year's tournament has no shortage of compelling story lines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour — including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed — will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Welcome to the third annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We're going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the golfers with the best chances of earning the coveted Green Jacket. Course History

Rickie Fowler has yet to win a major. This will be his first Masters appearance since 2020, when he finished T29. Although a seasoned veteran of Augusta National, Fowler is still looking for that breakthrough performance to match that of his second-place finish behind Patrick Reed in 2018. Fowler has worked to improve his game in hopes of returning to form, emulating that second-place finish in 2018 and a T5 in 2014. However, with this being his first appearance in four years, time will tell if Fowler remembers his way around Augusta National Golf Club.

Recent Form

After he found his way back into the winner’s circle at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic, all eyes were on Fowler to finally catch fire and show positive signs of things to come. After all, this is a player who was No. 4 in the world rankings in 2016. Although still grinding with famed coach Butch Harmon since the fall of 2022, Fowler's 2023-24 season has been a bit of a question mark thus far. A T68 finish at THE PLAYERS Championship last month, preceded by a T36 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, has fans and golf bettors scratching their heads and wondering when Fowler will turn it on this season.

Betting Outlook

If you were to ask any golf fan out there if there's a place where Fowler seems destined to win that elusive first major, they'd probably tell you it's Augusta. While his game has yet to turn the calendar page into 2024, history shows there is opportunity awaiting with four solid rounds of peak Fowler golf. And although it's been four years since Fowler last teed it up at golf's Mecca, he’s fared well at Augusta in years past and might be worth a small bet at such long odds.
