2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tiger Woods

It’s Masters week, which means we’ll once again have the pleasure of watching the best golfers in the world take on the greatest golf course in the world, Augusta National.

Augusta is golf paradise, a stunning, immaculately groomed beauty that’s home to some of the most iconic holes on the planet, including the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th. No other course tests a player’s course-management skills and short game quite like Augusta.

This year’s tournament has no shortage of compelling storylines. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is trying to extend his recent run of dominance and win his second Green Jacket. Young stars such as Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay are hoping to break through and win at Augusta for the first time. The stars of the LIV Tour – including defending champion Jon Rahm and past champs Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed – will once again compete with their PGA Tour counterparts.

Welcome to the third annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the golfers with the best chances of earning the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Sit back and read on.

Course History

Tiger Woods has a well-known history at Augusta National. The five-time winner knows this course as well as anyone in the field this year.

Recent Form

Tiger has only played in one tournament this season, which resulted in a withdrawal during the second round of The Genesis Invitational. Well-documented injuries have ended several tournaments early for Tiger recently, including last year’s edition of The Masters.

Betting Outlook

Fanduel has the odds for Tiger to win at +15000. This is obviously a longshot, especially considering the high risk of a potential withdrawal always looming. For me personally though, golf is more fun when Tiger is playing, especially when he is playing well. A small bet for nostalgia alone is worth it, but the fear of missing out on potentially riding the emotional roller coaster is well worth placing a small bet for a dream scenario.
