2024 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions
Itâs Masters week. The best week of the golf season.
It has been a wild start to the 2023â24 PGA Tour season with a string of six golfers winning in succession that were 100â1 odds or worse, something golf bettors were not used to. Especially when you consider there were multiple flagship elevated events with tight fields for golfers like Chris Kirk (The Sentry), Nick Taylor (WM Phoenix) and Matthieu Pavon (Farmers Insurance Open) to win at these tracks.
Things have gotten plenty more normal lately with Scottie Scheffler taking down both the Arnold Palmer Invitational as well as THE PLAYERS Championship, so he has understandably moved to the very top of this weekâs odds board, which comprises 89 of the best and most deserving players in the golf world.
Augusta National comes in beautiful as ever, stretching as far as 7,545 yards. We should have a pristine week with only some light rain on Thursday predicted in the forecast. You need some length around Augusta - itâs a drawerâs course off the tee, meaning the easier tee shots come from flighting the ball from right to left. Lefties who fade the ball will also be put in solid spots here.
Once you get off the tee, however, look to abandon that shot shape to more of a fade, meaning flighting the ball from left to right. You also need perfect ball-striking on this course with how firm and undulating the greens can be. A good touch around the greens is favored as well. Overall, a very strong teeâtoâgreen game is what works at Augusta National, as well as being able to handle the pressure.
Letâs take a look at some of my top picks and predictions for this event.

Scottie Scheffler
It would be wrong to not have Scottie Scheffler in this article, as he is performing like the best golfer in the world right now. His last three results read: T2 at the Texas Childrenâs Houston Open, first at The PLAYERS Championship and first at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Simply put, heâs the man to beat.
Scheffler lines up perfectly for Augusta, with the ability to work shots from either side. Heâs the best approach player on Tour and may also have the best short game on Tour, being able to make the toughest upâandâdowns look tremendously easy.
Bet: Scottie Scheffler Outright Winner (+400); Scottie Scheffler Top-5 Finish (+105)
Xander Schauffele
Realistically, besides Scheffler, has anyone played better golf so far this season than Xander Schauffele? So far this season, Schauffele has played in eight PGA Tour events. He has finished in the top 10 in six of them, with a T25 and a T54 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Schauffele has gained a reputation as a man able to put together splendid rounds for the first few days but not able to close out tournaments. We truly saw this on display at The PLAYERS Championship. Iâm willing to look past all that and rely on his stats so far this year.
He ranks second in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green, fourth in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, fourth in Ballstriking and second in Strokes Gained: Short Game. That is the resume of a player who has come close to winning a green jacket multiple times before and may be ready now.
Bet: Xander Schauffele Outright Winner (+1600); Xander Schauffele Top-10 Finish (+140)
Brooks Koepka
How can I leave out the man who felt destined to win his first green jacket last year until the unstoppable force that was Jon Rahm intervened? Koepka is the bigâgame hunter, a man with five major wins in a career that seemed headed for implosion after a range of injuries in the last several years.
Koepka arrived at Augusta last year, proclaimed he would go out and win, and nearly did it. He can lean on being one of the farthest drivers in the game, which will help put him in good spots off the tee with Augustaâs length.
He has a terrific course history with four finishes of T11 or better, so donât doubt that Brooks will put himself in contention this week. He has revenge on the brain. If he gets hot, it could take a miracle to stop him.
Bet: Brooks Koepka Outright Winner (+1800); Brooks Koepka Top-10 Finish (+180)
