Best Player Prop Bets For The NCAA Tournament Second Round (Saturday)
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Hunter Dickinson Over 28.5 Points + Rebounds (-110)
The Jayhawks were nearly one of the biggest stories on Day 1 as they almost suffered an early exit, narrowly beating Samford 93-89. The absence of Kevin McCullar will be tough to navigate, but with all five starters scoring double-digits last game, they could make a run. No one is more important than Dickinson, who scored 19 points and had 20 rebounds in that win. Gonzaga is an efficient defense, but they lack size on the boards, which should allow Dickinson to match or exceed the number from Round 1.
Baylor Scheierman Over 3.5 Assists (-135)
Creighton has so many ways to beat you; that's why they have a legitimate shot to go far. Why they play so well offensively is they don't look to one player to offensively control the ball; Baylor Scheierman and Trey Alexander are a fantastic guard duo that can pull up and shoot from anywhere on the floor, but aren't selfish and will dish it out. They'll need to do that against Oregon because they can apply pressure and match up well. Scheierman is getting below his season average in assists, and although Alexander leads the team, Scheierman has doled out more dimes lately.
DJ Horne over 16.5 Points (-110)
NC State has been one of the hotter teams in the country, with wins over Duke, North Carolina, and Virginia to win the ACC tournament, so it was no surprise when they were able to pull off the first round upset. They've played some fantastic defense during this stretch but have also been getting some great efforts from their stars. Horne has excelled as a transfer from ASU, bringing that veteran leadership with 16.9 points per game from the fifth-year senior. He’s been ever better during this winning streak, averaging 17.4 in his last five. The luck of another upset has them facing 14th seed Oakland, who allowed 73 points per game this season and were 157th in adjusted defensive efficiency.
