Carolina Hurricanes (-340) vs. New York Islanders (+280)

The Jets went 3-0 against the Avalanche this season, outscoring them 17-4. While Colorado has the playoff pedigree and experience, Winnipeg plays stifling defense, and the addition of Tyler Toffoli ignited their offense in the second half of the season. They are also the only underdog team with home-ice advantage, where they went 27-11-3 this year. (They were also an impressive 25-13-3 on the road.) Colorado went 31-9-1 at home but was only 19-16-6 on the road.

You can play with these three series however youâ€™d like to. The Rangers and Hurricanes have huge odds to win outright, but I think both get it done by two or three games (4-o or 4-1), making them much nicer parlay additions. Florida has a tricky series against Tampa Bay, but I think the defending Eastern Conference Champions get it done.
