2024 NHL Stanley Cup Round One Player Specials
Connor McDavid to Record 10+ Points in the Series (+100)
As an Oilers fan, I hate that they are facing the Kings in Round 1. And the reason I hate it is because Edmonton and Los Angeles tend to play long, physical series. Last year, they went to six games. In 2022, they went seven. McDavid, however, has 24 points in those 13 games, including hitting this mark in both years. If the books are giving us plus money on McDavid doing it again, we simply bet it and say thank you.
Nikita Kucherov to Record 10+ Points in the Series (+120)
Kucherovâs career postseason stats are beyond impressive. In 142 playoff games, he has 160 points and is +38 overall. The Lightning have a tough matchup against the Panthers, but some guys just show up when it matters. Weâve made some good money on playing the plus-money odds on Kuch, so weâre going back to the well in Round 1.
Filip Forsberg to Record 4+ Goals in Series (+165)
The Predators have a tough task ahead of them when they face the Canucks, and if they manage to push the series past four games (which I think they will), then Forsberg will have lit the lamp multiple times. The Nashville forward scored 48 goals and had 46 assists on the year. For long stretches of time, the teamâs mantra seemed to be âAs Forsberg goes, we go.â So, for Round 1, letâs go with him, too.
Josh Morrissey to Record 1+ Point in Every Game (+900)
In general, playing the point-per-game prop is a foolâs errand, and please donât let my undying devotion to betting on Josh Morrissey steer you away from this bet. The Jets faced the Avalanche three times this season, and Morrissey recorded seven points in those matchups. He is always involved in the Winnipeg offense, and this series is going to be a battle from the first puck drop, which is the defensemanâs happy place. All that considered, I would heavily advise playing this like the long shot that it is, so 0.25 or 0.50 units only.
