It’s the first Saturday of Women’s March Madness, so here are my favorite props for three of the brightest stars in the game.

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Caitlin Clark (Iowa) Over 33.5 Points (+110)
Don’t overthink it here, folks. When it comes to Caitlin Clark, you either bet the Over or you don’t make a bet. Who wants the agony of having to sweat out a Caitlin Clark Under scoring prop? Even if you win, how many years were taken of your life? Was it worth it? Life’s too short to bet Unders, especially when it involves the player with more points than any man or woman in the history of college basketball!
Now for the objective part:
There is juice in the plus-value being offered on her scoring 34+ points. Clark has exceeded this number in 15-of-33 games (45.5%) this season which is pretty incredible when you think about what it takes to score 34+ points in a (usually) 40-minute game, let alone average 31.9 points in 34.4 minutes. On the season, Clark averaged 0.927 points for every minute she was on the court so at that pace it takes her, on average, about 36.6 minutes of court time to reach 34 points. I am not sure that Iowa needs her out there that long or that they need 34+ points from her to roll Holy Cross. That being said, CC is on her farewell tour and will want to give the fans a show in her last hurrah! It will take a lights-out night from deep from Clark but with a +110 return offered on this number, I’ll put my faith in “Ponytail Pete” to nail this Over.
Paige Bueckers (UConn) Over 23.5 Points (-110)
Bueckers just averaged 27.7 points across three games in the Big East Tournament. In her opening round game against Providence, she dropped 29 points and I would look for more of the same in this opening round game. UConn will want to set the tone by going to Buecks early and often. If she is going to score 24+ she is going to have to shoot to rock. Luckily for bettors, Bueckers has only attempted fewer than 10 shots in a game once in her last 22 contests dating back to December 31. The Junior guard should also continue to see heavy minutes after averaging 36.7 minutes in the Big East Tourney. Bueckers has gone over 23.5 points in six straight games where she has played at least 33 minutes.
JuJu Watkins (USC) Over 27.5 Points (-110)
Watkins averaged 27.0 points for the season and 26.8 against non-conference opponents this season. She went over this number in 16-of-30 (.533) games this season but that isn’t enough to confidently take -110 as a return here. Watkins is just 1-4 against this total in her last five games but prior to that she went over 27.5 points in eight of ten, meaning she has hit this number in nine of her last 15 games. She is either going to blow past this number as she has averaged 34.4 points in those nine latest games in which she has surpassed this total. Full disclosure, Watkins has gone cold from deep lately, going just 5-for-30 (.167) over her last six games which includes a 1-for-15 (.067) stretch over her last three games. There is obvious risk involved here without the corresponding betting return, but if you think she is going to reach this number, bet so confidently.
