2025 Farmers Insurance Open Odds, Picks & Predictions: Best PGA Bets

The PGA Tour stays in southern California for the upcoming Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego, California. The first round tees off a day earlier than normal, getting underway on Wednesday from the Torrey Pines North and Torrey Pines South courses.

There will be a traditional 36-hole cut line enforced at the Farmers Insurance Open, with the more difficult South course being played three out of four rounds for golfers who make the cut and qualify to continue playing on Friday and Saturday. Last year’s winner, Matthieu Pavon, won at 13-under-par and is currently 120-1 to defend his title. Other previous winners include Max Homa, Luke List, Justin Rose, and Jason Day.

Last week at the American Express, my PGA best bets went 0-3. Let’s aim for a bounce-back at Torrey Pines ahead of Wednesday’s opening round. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and weekly analysis.

72 Hole Matchbet Max Greyserman vs. Will Zalatoris

I’m bullish on Will Zalatoris during his return to Torrey Pines. Zalatoris has carded a T26 at The Sentry and a T12 this past weekend at La Quinta during The American Express. Ranked eighth for greens in regulation rate, 14th in driving accuracy, and 27th in putting average, Zalatoris’ current form is trending up. The Californian has also logged finishes of T7, P2, and T13 at Torrey Pines.

Max Greyserman has also enjoyed a solid start to his 2025 campaign, recording. T24 at The Sentry and a T7 at The American Express. However, he’s less experienced at Torrey Pines compared to Zalatoris, while missing the cut at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open. Let’s bet a unit on Zalatoris to wind up with a lower 72-hole score than Greyserman as my first PGA best bet.

Pick: Will Zalatoris (-115)

3 Ball (Round 1) – Hossler/Cole/Blair

Beau Hossler played well in La Quinta last weekend, logging a T12 finish, including two rounds of 66 and 65 across various par 72 courses at The American Express. Hossler is paired with Zac Blair and Eric Cole in his Round 1 3 ball matchup at Torrey Pines North Course, which is undoubtedly the easier of the two courses being played at the Farmers Insurance Open this week.

Hossler recorded a T6 finish at this event last season, while Cole missed the cut and Blair finished T76. He’s ranked fourth in SG: Off-the-Tee, 20th in total driving, and third in driving distance. Hossler is also ranked second in scrambling and sixth in putting average, so this feels like a slam dunk play against the other two golfers in Hossler’s group on Wednesday.

Let’s bet one more unit on Hossler to beat Cole and Blair in Round 1 at plus odds.

Pick: Beau Hossler (+125)

Top 20 Finishing Position

I’m heading to the top 20 finishing position betting market and targeting Stephan Jaeger at +260 odds. While dead heat rules and ties still apply, Jaeger is still a value at this price. The German golfer has turned in a T36 at Kapalua and a T3 in La Quinta this past weekend, staying at -4-under-par or better in all four rounds.

Jaeger recorded a T3 finish at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open and ranks 38th SG: Approach, 42nd SG: Putting, and 20th in birdie average. Previous finishes of T53 and MC are the primary reason we’re landing such a long number on Jaeger to log a T20 finish at Torrey Pines this week but it’s worth a half-unit stake at this value.

Pick: Stephan Jaeger (+260)
