2025 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Byeong Hun An

It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.

The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.

Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta. And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.

Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Byeong Hun An.

Course History

Byeong Hun “Ben” An is a Korean golfer who made his mark in 2009 when he became the youngest winner of the U.S. Amateur. He went on to turn pro in 2011 and started playing on the Challenge Tour. Hun An did not get his first win until 2014 at the Rolex Trophy, a tournament in Geneva, Switzerland. With the victory, he became the first Korean to record a win on the Challenge Tour. While he did play in the Masters in 2010 (missed the cut), he did not play as a pro for the first time until 2016 (missed the cut). The following year he came back and finished t33, but then didn’t play at Augusta again until 2020 (missed the cut). After a three-year absence, he played in the Masters again last season and had his second-best finish in a Major at t16 (finished t13 at The Open Championship in the same season).

Recent Form

This season has been somewhat of a mixed bag for Byeong Hun An. He has played in nine tournaments to date, made the cut in six, finished in the top 25 in three, and top ten in one (t8 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational). He followed that finish with a lackluster showing at THE PLAYERS Championship (t52) and last played at the Valspar Championship (t16).

Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions

Byeong Hun An can best be described as a longshot without knowing what his odds of winning are-and he is at +12000 (DraftKings). However, there is nothing in his history that says he’s ready to make that leap and win the Masters (or finish in the top ten). He is worth thinking about to finish in the top 30 at +130, but I consider him a better bet to miss the cut (+140)
