It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.
The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.
Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.
Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Harris English.

Course History
Harris English has been around the block a little bit, and while he has never really been a threat to win the Masters, he has been consistent, with an ability to play into the weekend. That’s very important for bettors. He posted a solid 22nd-place finish last season, making a final round charge to tie the likes of Patrick Cantlay, Rory McIlroy and Joaquin Niemann, among others.
Recent Form
The 35-year-old Georgian enters the Masters with a little bit of steam, turning in a respectable t-18th at the Texas Children’s Houston Open in his final tune-up event. He also made the cut at THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass, ending up 30th, which is a lot better than some of his competitors with similar odds, who missed the cut at one or both of those events.
English has decent momentum and picked up a victory at the Farmers Insurance Open, too. That’s four top-30 finishes in the past six events.
Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions
The former University of Georgia Bulldog is always a threat on the putting surface, ranking 17th in Strokes Gained: Putting. He is also solid in driving distance and accuracy off the tee. His problems start in the SG: Approach the Green and SG: Around-the-Green categories, and he isn’t very good in the Greens in Regulation Percentage (65.67%) category, hitting just 331 of 504 total greens.
English is a wild card who isn’t a serious threat to win the major, but he is more of a solid value as a top-30 or top-40 finisher. He isn’t a bad bet (-175) to simply make the cut, too.
