2025 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Jason Day

It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.

The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.

Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.

Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Jason Day.

Course History

The Aussie had a runner-up finish in the 2011 Masters, but the tailor for a Green Jacket hasn’t been on call for Jason Day in recent seasons. However, he has had a little bit of a resurgence, including a 30th-place finish last season. The 37-year-old had a giant 3-under 69 to scoot up the leaderboard for a six-figure payout.

Recent Form

Day has made the cut in all seven of his events this season, including a t-27th finish at the Texas Children’s Houston Open in his most recent appearance in late March in a Masters tune-up. He has managed finishes of 13th or better in three of his past six PGA Tour events, too.

Day has had mixed results this season, as he has been decent enough in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green and SG: Total, but he has been a disaster in putting. He also no longer has a ton of punch off the tee box, and he struggles in driving accuracy, too, checking in at just 54.59% (134th on the PGA Tour).

Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions

Day has done a decent enough job finding his way to the weekend in every event this season. He managed a season-best t-3rd finish at The American Express Tournament on the Pete Dye Stadium Course back in mid-January, and he has finishes of 13th or better in three of his six outings.

Tamp down expectations, though, as betting on Day to win his first Masters is a little unrealistic. Still, for a chance to multiply your wager by 75 times, it is worth sprinkling a couple of dollars. For all of the longshots on the list, Day has had some big finishes on the PGA Tour recently. A top-20 finish (+180) can help you nearly double up. Even a top-30 finish (-115) is priced nicely.
