It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.
The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.
Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.
Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Jordan Spieth.

Course History
Jordan Spieth has a long, interesting history in the Masters despite being only 31 years old. He made his Masters debut in 2014 and was tied for the lead going into the final round. While he did briefly take the lead, he went on to become the youngest runner-up in Masters history. Spieth made history again the following year when he shot a 64 in round one and became the youngest player to lead after the first round.
With a 66 in round two, he broke the record for lowest score after 36 holes. He went on to break the 54-hole record, set the record for most birdies in a tournament and became the first wire-to-wire leader and second-youngest winner in Masters history. However, he may be best known for his meltdown in the 2016 Masters.
Spieth had a five-stroke lead heading into the back nine of the final round, but then a bogey on the 10th hole, a bogey on the 11th hole and a quadruple bogey on the 12th hole pushed him down the leaderboard. He ended up finishing in second again. Since then, he has had top-10 finishes in 2018 (third), 2021 (third) and 2023 (tied for fourth), but he missed the cut in two of the last three Masters.
Recent Form
Spieth has struggled at times this season as he returns to action following wrist surgery. So far, he has entered six tournaments, made the cut in five and finished in the top 10 in two. However, in the other three, he finished t-69 (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am), 59th (THE PLAYERS Championship) and t-28 (The Valspar Championship).
Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions
Spieth is one of those golfers with the potential to win any tournament he enters. However, with his recent history at Augusta not being good and his inconsistent play this season, he is not an advisable bet at +3000 to win. If you have bet insurance or a bonus bet burning a hole in your pocket, I'd call him a decent longshot, at best.
