It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.
The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.
Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.
Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Justin Thomas.

Course History
Justin Thomas' strongest performance at Augusta was a fourth-place finish in 2020. He also secured a top-10 result in 2022 (eighth). In his other seven appearances at The Masters, the American has finished outside the top 20 five times and missed the cut in both 2023 and 2024.
Recent Form
The 31-year-old Thomas has been in top form this year, earning two second-place finishes and two additional top-10 results. His most recent performance was a second-place finish at the Valspar Championship (-10) in late March. After an opening round of +2, he found his groove, closing out the final three rounds at -1, -6 and -5 to secure the runner-up position.
Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions
I don't see the value in betting on Thomas for this tournament. He's +2500 odds to win the Green Jacket, but his back-to-back missed cuts at Augusta don't instill much confidence in backing him.
Even a +170 payout for a top-10 finish isn't enticing enough to rush to the window with my hard-earned money. Sometimes the smartest bet is no bet at all. Given his inconsistency, I'll be staying away from Thomas this weekend.
