2025 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Matt Fitzpatrick

It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.

The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.

Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.

Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Matt Fitzpatrick.

Course History

The Brit had a decent showing last season at Augusta National, playing to an 8-way tie at t-22nd, matching notables such as Keegan Bradley, Patrick Cantlay and Rory McIlroy, among others. Matt Fitzpatrick has made the cut in each of his nine Masters appearances.

Recent Form

Fitzpatrick limps into Augusta National with three missed cuts in the past five tournaments, including his past two showings at THE PLAYERS Championship and Valero Texas Open. Slow starts have hampered him all season, as he has been over par in the first round in each of his seven PGA Tour tournaments this season.

Fitzpatrick had a t-22nd finish at Bay Hill at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but it’s been a choppy season for him all year.

Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions

Fitzpatrick hasn’t had a top-20 finish all season, so it’s really risky behavior looking at anything more than a top-20 finish (+275). You can still back Fitzpatrick for a top-30 finish (+130) and get plus-money. Even a top-40 play (-150) isn’t priced out of line.

Based on the fact he has missed the cut in three of his past five events, betting Fitzpatrick (-160) to simply make the cut is even a bit of a leap of faith.
