It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.
The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.
Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.
Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Nicolai Hojgaard.

Course History
The Dane made a ton of noise last season in his first-ever appearance at The Masters, turning in a T-16th finish. He exploded onto the scene with a 5-under 67 in the opening round before tumbling down the leaderboard with over-par scores in the final three rounds.
Still, Nicolai Hojgaard’s overall finish was better than the likes of notables such as Akshay Bhatia, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and many others.
Recent Form
The 24-year-old might have had a solid debut at Augusta National last spring, but he has been a trainwreck this season. It started OK, as he had a pair of top-20 results, including a solo eighth-place finish at the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld in late February.
However, Hojgaard has missed the cut in each of his past three events, including THE PLAYERS Championship, sometimes referred to as the unofficial fifth major. His form has been poor lately, and he has had just two rounds under par in his past six tries.
Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions
The way Hojgaard is going lately, the best play on the board might be the Dane missing the cut (+110) at plus-money. If you’re adventurous, a top-20 play (+330) can help you more than triple up your wager, but even that takes quite a leap of faith.
Hojgaard has shown no evidence of a turnaround, and it would be quite impressive if he were able to come anywhere near replicating last season’s results at Augusta National.
