2025 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Patrick Reed

It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.

The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.

Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta. And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.

Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Patrick Reed.

Course History

Patrick Reed’s short game is among the best in the world, and his superb short game plays up at Augusta, which demands a steely touch on and around the greens. Reed won the Green Jacket in 2018, finishing -15 to top Rickie Fowler by one stroke. In six appearances since that victory, Reed has finished in the top 10 three times, including a fourth-place finish in 2023. He finished 12th last year. Over the last seven years, Reed has a Masters scoring average of 70.9, which is excellent. Some golfers simply know how to navigate Augusta, and Reed is among them.

Recent Form

Reed’s season on the LIV Tour has been a mixed bag. After a pair of top 10s to open the season, Reed finished outside the top 35 in his next three events. But Reed seems to be heating up at just the right time. He finished second to Carlos Ortiz at the Asian Tour’s International Series Macau last month, and Reed was tied for third going into the final round of this past weekend’s LIV Tour Miami event.

Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions

Course history is a stronger indicator at Augusta than at a lot of other courses, and it makes sense to invest in players who have consistently fared well at The Masters. Reed is one such player. I’m ladder-betting Reed this week, with a small wager on him to win outright at +8000 and increasingly larger bets on him to finish top 5 (+1100), top 10 (+450) and top 20 (+190).
