The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.

Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.

Course History

Sungjae Im's performances at Augusta have been inconsistent over the years. The 27-year-old has competed in five Masters tournaments, with his best result coming in his debut in 2020 (second place).

Im also notched an eighth-place finish in 2022, but he has missed the cut twice (2021, 2024). In last year's tournament, the South Korean posted scores of 77-74 over the first two days, and his +7 total wasn't sufficient to advance to the weekend rounds.

Recent Form

Im kicked off 2025 on a heater, earning a pair of top-five finishes in his first three tournaments (The Sentry, Farmers Insurance Open). However, over the next seven events, his performance dipped, with two missed cuts and just one top-20 result.

Heading into The Masters, Im ranks 136th in Greens in Regulation Percentage (63.81%), though he ranks a respectable 32nd in Strokes Gained: Putting (+0.400).

Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions

I'm looking to fade Im this weekend at Augusta. His recent struggles and a 40% missed-cut rate in his Masters appearances to start his career have me ready to bet against him. I'm placing a one-unit wager on Im to miss the cut (+125). He's finished outside the top 60 in his last two tournaments leading up to the Masters, and I don't anticipate him turning things around on this big stage.
