Course History

Thirston Lawrence is a South African golfer who turned pro in 2014. He is currently playing on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour but has also spent time on the MENA, Big Easy, and IGT Pro tours. He has four wins on the European and Sunshine Tours and one in the MENA, Big Easy, and IGT Pro. Lawrence does not have much experience playing in Majors. This season will be his first at the Masters. He missed the cut in his only U.S. Open appearance in 2023, but he finished in fourth last year at The Open Championship.

Recent Form

He is not off to a good start in 2025. Of the eight tournaments he has played in, he missed the cut in six. As for the two he made the cut for, he finished t59 at the Mexico Open and t54 at the Puerto Rico Open. He missed the cut in his last three appearances, including the Valero Texas Open last weekend.

Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions

At +80000, a win would make for an incredible payout, but there is a reason why his odds are so long. A tournament-winning performance by Lawrence would be the kind of thing Disney makes movies about. But it's not going to happen because he will probably not make the cut (-190).
