It’s Masters week, arguably the best week of the year for fans of professional golf. The Masters is a rite of spring and the unofficial start of golf season in America.
The best players in the game will take on what many regard as the best and most gorgeous golf course in the world, Augusta National. But Augusta is a treacherous beauty that challenges players with lightning-fast greens, severe elevation changes, narrow passages between trees, and scorecard-wrecking water hazards and bunkers.
Can the No. 1 player in the world, Scottie Scheffler, win his third Green Jacket in four years? Is this finally Rory McIlroy's year? Or will a young star such as Ludvig Aberg or Collin Morikawa prevail at Augusta? And let's not forget about the LIV Tour players. Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia are among the LIV players who have won The Masters before. Maybe it's Bryson DeChambeau's turn this year.
Welcome to the fourth annual BettingPros Guide to The Masters. We’re going to examine the many wagering opportunities this tournament presents, taking a closer look at the players contending for the coveted Green Jacket. Which players provide betting value and which are bad bets? Read on for our 2025 Masters predictions for Tony Finau.
2025 Masters Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tony Finau
Stats to Know
- DraftKings Odds to Win: +7500
- World Ranking: 33
- Best Masters finish: 5 (2019)
- Last four Masters finishes: 10, 35, 26, 55
- Last four tournament finishes: 8, 36, MC, 32
Course History
Tony Finau has participated in seven Masters tournaments throughout his career, with his strongest performances occurring early on. He achieved three top-10 finishes in his first four appearances, but his last three outings at Augusta have resulted in 35th-place, 26th-place and 55th-place finishes. The American has never finished better than third in a major tournament.
Recent Form
It hasn't been the most productive 2025 campaign for Finau, as he has finished 13th or worse in eight out of his nine tournaments. The exception was a fifth-place effort at the Genesis Invitational (-8) at Torrey Pines.
Since then, his four subsequent events have seen him finish 36th, missed cut, 32nd and 56th. Even his driving distance, which he is known for, is down, as Finau ranks 91st on the PGA Tour at 300.1 yards.
Betting Outlook: 2025 Masters Predictions
I don't see a valuable wager on Tony Finau for this weekend. He has finished 32nd or worse in his last four tournaments overall and outside the top 25 in his past three Masters appearances.
However, the 35-year-old has a perfect record of making the cut in all seven of his Augusta attempts, so I'm not enticed to bet him to miss the cut at +210 either. I'll have no bets on Finau, at least heading into Thursday's opening round.
