We’ve come down to the final eight teams, and it’s a pool of the best because they are all 1-3 seeds. This means we could have some exciting matchups and some of the best players in the nation featured. Let’s examine some of those games and give the best player props.

Mark Sears Over 20 Points (-114)

This could be an up-tempo and exciting matchup between two exciting teams. It features two top-ten offenses with a ton of firepower. Alabama is the top-scoring offense for the second year in a row and the only team scoring over 90 points per game. They made history in the last matchup against BYU, where they shot a tournament-record 51 threes and made 25.

It was led by their star Sears, who had 34 points, the second of three games in which he had over 20 points. Duke has a great defense, allowing the fifth-fewest points per game (62.5), but we saw in the last game that they will sacrifice defense and allowed 93 points. This could be a high-scoring game, and if Bama wants to advance, they need another big performance from Sears.

Khaman Maluach 10+ Points (+112)

When we talk about Duke, most of the conversation will be about Cooper Flagg, deservedly because he's the best player in the nation and the future No. 1 overall pick. One great player does not make a team great and a leading candidate to win the National Championship.

Malauch will also be discussed for the next few months, as he's a potential first-round pick. The 7-footer is coming off a fantastic performance of 13 points and six rebounds against Arizona. This is an excellent spot for him against a below-average and undersized Alabama team. Alabama has no protection inside and allowed BYU to score 50 of their 83 points in the paint. Malauch has a high-percentage shot from inside five feet, and Duke will use that advantage all night.

Thomas Haugh Over 6.5 Rebounds (+102)

It's tough not to think of Florida as the best team remaining in the tournament. Last week, they took down the two-time defending champs, UConn, and then easily took care of Maryland.

This will be a difficult matchup against resilient Texas Tech, which just made an impressive comeback to beat Arkansas. The Gators are one of the toughest teams in the paint, averaging 41.3 rebounds per game (third), but the Red Raiders are 43rd in rebounds allowed per game.

Haugh is second on the team in rebounds but he’s been stellar the last couple of games. He had seven points and seven rebounds against UConn and 13 points and nine rebounds against Maryland. They’ve been setting him up to roll down to the paint to get easy buckets, but he’s also tough on the boards, and he’ll play a huge role in the paint for the Gators.
