2025 NCAA Tournament Player Prop Bets: Round 2 (Saturday)

I won’t argue. It was a bit of an underwhelming first two days of the NCAA Tournament. It’s almost like the NIL is making for less upsets. More games were not even close than I could ever remember.

But maybe that sets up for an exciting next two days in the NCAA Tournament. I’ve added three player props for today’s slate, hoping to earn some profit. Let’s get to it.

Saturday’s Best NCAA Tournament Player Prop Bets

    (Odds Courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Roddy Gayle Jr. Over 7.5 Points (-117)

During Michigan’s four-game winning streak, Roddy Gayle Jr. has scored at least nine points in three of those four games. Gayle should enjoy more success in today’s game. He’s facing a Texas A&M defense ranked 307th in points allowed to guards this year. The Aggies have allowed 12.84 field goal attempts and have given up 2.52 three-pointers per game to guards this year.

Gayle isn’t a heavy three-point shooter. However, he’s taken at least two threes in each of his last three games. He’s also attempted at least one three in each of his last four games. Against the Aggies, Gayle should earn more open looks from three. He’s got enough skill to at least knock one or two down.

In addition, he’s attempted 2.8 free throws per game over the last 10 games. The Aggies foul guards a lot and should get Gayle to the foul line at least one time in this game. Take his over.

Tavion Banks Over 9.5 Points (+110)

Tavion Banks has stepped up over the last two games. He finished with 13 points in the Missouri Valley Conference championship game against Bradley. Then, he followed that with 15 points against Missouri in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Banks should enjoy some success against a Texas Tech team allowing 16.04 points per game to guard/forward players this season. Bank has gotten to the foul line 5.2 times per game over the last 10. Meanwhile, the Red Raiders rank 286th in free throws allowed to guard/forward players this season. Banks should be able to knock some shots down. He might even get an opportunity to knock down a three. But if he can get to the foul line a couple of times, he should easily be able to add at least 10 points in this game.

Drake is one of the most impressive teams heading into Day 3 of the NCAA Tournament.

Ryan Nembhard Under 8.5 Points (-114)

Ryan Nembhard has scored at least nine points in 68% of games this season. However, he’s fallen off a bit recently. In tournament games, including the West Coast Conference Championship, he’s added no more than eight points in three of his last four games. Beyond that, he totaled only three points against Georgia in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.

Nembhard failed to make much of an impact against Georgia and will now face a Houston defense that is the best in the nation. Houston has limited teams to 58.47 points per game, which is the best rate in the country. They’ve also held guards to 11.7 points per game this season and play at a super slow pace.

Don’t bank on Nembhard to break out tonight.
