No. 6 Michigan Wolverines (+730) vs. No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-14.5) | O/U 153.5

Notre Dame fans have to be breathing a sigh of relief after watching their team dominate Stephen F. Austin in the first round, 106-54. There was never really any doubt. They led 46-25 at the half and continued to dominate in the second half (60-29). As a team, they shot 56.3% from the field and won the rebound battle (44-30). They recorded 38 points off turnovers, 33 fast-break points and 62 points in the paint.

It was the kind of take-charge game that a former No. 1 team should have.

Michigan had more of a fight. Down by three heading into the fourth, they took charge, outscoring Iowa State 27-18 to win by six. The Wolverines shot well from three-point range, but the Cyclones had a better day in many categories - except the score, of course.

Michigan does not have a defense that can slow down Notre Dame or an offense that can take charge. Their inside game was supposed to be a strength versus Iowa State, but the Cyclones won the paint. Hannah Hidalgo and Sonia Citron will win the day for the Irish.

Pick: Notre Dame -14.5 (-110)

No. 9 Indiana Hoosiers (+2500) vs. No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks (-22.5) | O/U 136.5

There were times this season when the defending champs looked like they might be losing a step, but that certainly isn't the case at the moment. They entered the NCAA Tournament on a seven-game winning streak that included a 21-point win over Texas in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Championship game. But then they put an exclamation on the state of their readiness with a 60-point win over Tennessee Tech in the first round.

It was the kind of win you'd expect South Carolina to have.

Indiana had a much more competitive game in the first round against Utah, playing to a 31-31 tie at the break. The Hoosiers took charge in the third quarter, 27-16, and went on to win by eight, 76-68. If they can shoot 58% from the floor against South Carolina, like they did against Utah, they might have a chance of pulling off an upset.

Indiana's defense is not bad, but it doesn't have what it takes to slow down, let alone stop, the Gamecocks. South Carolina may not cover until the fourth, but they will cover.

Pick: South Carolina -22.5 (-110)

No. 8 Richmond Spiders (+1000) vs. No. 1 UCLA Bruins (-14.5) | O/U 132.5

On paper, Richmond looks like a team that can compete with the Bruins. They play solid defense, have a good offense, shoot well from the floor and know how to move the ball around. However, a team like UCLA could have done even better if they played the same schedule. The Spiders were 5-4 versus Quad 1 teams (1-3) and Quad 2 (4-1) teams.

By comparison, UCLA went 18-2 in similar games. Richmond crushed Georgia Tech 74-49 in the first round. The Bruins sat atop the AP Top 25 Women’s College Basketball Poll most of the season for a reason. They are one of the best in the country on either end of the court. They just have one weakness. If they fall behind or stall on offense, they don't have a go-to person (no, Lauren Betts is not that person) to bail the team out.

Richmond went on an impressive 17-game winning streak in the regular season, but the level of competition was not strong. UCLA is on a different level, and that will be apparent once the game gets underway.

Pick: UCLA -14.5 (-110)
