Duke vs. South Carolina Picks & Predictions
When they played earlier in the season, South Carolina won 81-70. While I do expect the Gamecocks to win, I can't be confident about whether they'll cover the spread based on the slow start they got off to against Maryland. But the score... Both teams have top-notch defenses that have held teams to averages of 56.6 (Duke) and 57.6 (South Carolina) points per game.
They also have good offenses, but expect the defenses to win the day.
Pick: Under 129.5 Points (-112)
Duke vs. South Carolina Player Props
Except for the first-round beatdown of Tennessee Tech, South Carolina's defense has led the way. When it comes to scoring, everyone on the court for the Gamecocks is capable, which often results in relatively low point totals all around. Hence, their leading scorer is accounting for just 13 points per game this season, and that's coming off the bench (Joyce Edwards).
Edwards has been quiet since scoring 22 points in the first round, scoring five and six points in South Carolina's other two games. She's been good for 5-7 rebounds each game this tournament. Chloe Kitts has had double-doubles in the last two games (15/11 and 10/11). I'm expecting a defensive battle in this game and think Duke will hold Edwards to similar or worse numbers and Kitts to lower numbers.
- Pick: Chloe Kitts Under 20.5 Points + Rebounds (-118)
- Pick: Joyce Edwards Under 18.5 Points + Rebounds (-108)
No. 1 LSU Tigers (+176) vs. No. 3 UCLA Bruins (-4.5)

LSU vs. UCLA Picks & Predictions
LSU is doing what every team wants to do at this time of year - play their best basketball. Their offense has exploded for 100+ points in two games while scoring 80 against a very good NC State team in the other. But none of those teams can compare to UCLA. The Tigers have a top-five offense, but don't play solid defense (No. 203 in the nation). They might be able to keep it close up to the break.
However, UCLA will make the right adjustments and pull away in the second half.
Pick: UCLA -4.5 (-114)
LSU vs. UCLA Player Props
I'm a little surprised this market has plus-money odds. Lauren Betts has been on fire, scoring 30+ points in her last two games, and the Tigers aren't known for their defense. With the chance to lead her team somewhere it has never been, she'll have a big game.
Aneesah Morrow leads the nation in rebounding with 13.7 per game this season. In tournament play, she's had performances of 12, 11 and 19 rebounds. Both teams rebound the ball very well, but I'm going to go with the best in the nation having a solid day.
