Let’s check out the top player prop odds and picks for Wednesday.

Top MLB Player Prop Bet Odds & Picks for Wednesday

Houston Astros vs. New York Mets

  • Yordan Alvarez 2+ Total Bases (-105)
  • Jose Altuve 2+ Total Bases (+105)
  • Alex Bregman 1+ Hit (-175)

Yes, Taijuan Walker has had a 3.49 xFIP in the last 30 days. But he’s also allowing 21.2% of line-drive contact with batted balls in play.

On top of that, he’s also allowing a 43.5% hard-hit percentage when balls are put in play. We all know what the Astros can do to baseballs, and we saw it last night in the Astros’ 9-1 win over the Mets. Houston has electric power and so much potential for extra-base hits.

Yordan Alvarez has led the Astros against righties with a .483 ISO and wOBA of .566 in the last 30 days. Meanwhile, Alex Bregman has a .214 ISO and wOBA of .418 in the previous 30 days against righties.

Lastly, Altuve has a .224 ISO and wOBA of .362 against righties in the last 30 days and should also be able to do plenty of damage against Walker.

I’ll take my chances with the Houston bats against Walker today.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Seattle Mariners

  • Leg 1: Trey Mancini 2+ Total Bases (+115)
  • Leg 2: Ryan Mountcastle 2+ Total Bases (+130)
  • Leg 3: Julio Rodriguez 2+ Total Bases (+125)

I love the over in today’s game between the Orioles and Mariners. Therefore, I like a lot of action on the basepaths tonight.

The Mariners will pitch Chris Flexen, who has a 6.20 xFIP in the last 30 days. His strikeouts have been low, while his walks have been high. He’s also allowed 22.7% of line drives in the previous month.

Trey Mancini has a .281 ISO and wOBA of .400 against righties, while Ryan Mountcastle has a .275 ISO and a .340 wOBA. Both of those bats should have success against Flexen in today’s game.

Meanwhile, Austin Voth will get the start tonight for the Orioles. Voth has allowed 31.3% of line drives when the ball is batted into play in the last 30 days.

The Mariners are hitting 24.5% of line drives, and that’s with the help of Julio Rodriguez. Rodriguez is hitting a .229 ISO, a wOBA of .384, and has hit 24.1% of line drives against righties lately.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies

  • Leg 1: Kyle Wright Over 4.5 K’s (-160)
  • Leg 2: Dansby Swanson 2+ Total Bases (-160)
  • Leg 3: Travis Darnoud 2+ Total Bases (-105)

The Braves are usually unstoppable against left-handed pitchers. Tonight, the Braves will face Ranger Suarez of the Phillies, a left-handed pitcher.

Suarez has a 4.58 xFIP in the last 30 days and will take on a Braves lineup led by Dansby Swanson and Travis D’Arnaud at the top of the order.

Swanson has a .290 ISO and wOBA of .480 against lefties, while D’Arnaud has a .438 ISO and wOBA of .535 in the last 30 days against lefties. Both of these batters have minimized strikeouts, which is why I’ve added them into this parlay. They’ll more than likely have at least four, and potentially five, chances to get two total bases.

Meanwhile, Kyle Wright will get the start for the Braves. He has a 3.74 xFIP in the last 30 days with 23.7% of strikeouts. He’ll take on a Phillies lineup with five batters striking out at least 22.4% of the time in the last 30 days against righties.
