Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers Odds & Game Pick (2021)
An NFC West battle will get underway Sunday afternoon in the Bay as the 7-1 Cardinals look to get back on track following their first loss of the season. For the 49ers, the Trey Lance era just might be getting underway early as theyâve flopped to a 3-4 start and have no identity to speak of.
Letâs take a closer look.

- Opening Line: 49ers +2.5, O/U 46.5
- Current Line: 49ers +1.5, O/U 46
- Last meeting: October 10, 2021, 49ers 10, Cardinals 17
Overview
With Lance eagerly waiting in the wings, 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo stepped up last week with his best performance of the season, a 322-yard game, as the team picked up a road win at Chicago to draw one game closer to .500 after starting the season 0-4. Welcoming in the Cardinals in this one, the 49ers might be getting back tight end George Kittle, who has missed the last three games with a calf injury but has been practicing this week.
Additionally, despite missing practice this week with an injury of his own, the 49ers WR1 Deebo Samuel is expected to suit up this week, as heâll look for his 5th 100-yard performance of the season.
For the Cardinals, not only did they suffer their first loss of the season last Thursday, but they also left with a further banged-up, Kyler Murray, who hurt his left ankle and is now questionable for this one. In his place could step career backup Colt McCoy who has yet to throw a pass this season and comes into this one with an 8-22 record as a starter in this league.

Trends
- Under is 7-3 in L10 matchups
- Cardinals are 0-4-1 in L5 November games
- Over is 5-0 in 49ers L5 after ATS win
Bottom Line
In what will be the second matchup of the season between these two, the first being an Arizona (17-10) win on October 10th, I like for a low-scoring affair. Unfortunately, even if Murray plays, heâll be limited, making this Cardinalâs offense one-dimensional.
For the 49ers, I like a heavy dose of running back of Elijah Mitchell, who turned in 137 yards this week and is a time-of-possession machine.
Pick: Under 46
