If Atletico can win this match, they will be helping their adversary Real Madrid atop the table, but they would be happy to do so. For Atletico Madrid’s match against Elche last Thursday, Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata each looked dominant, albeit against a lowly foe.
Barcelona’s matchup with Espanyol, a local rival, ended in a stalemate, as Robert Lewandowski, a striker for Barcelona, was permitted to participate since his three-game suspension was delayed, though his status is pending for this one. With 13 goals, he leads La Liga and plays a key role in Barcelona’s attack.
The last two encounters at the Metropolitano Stadium were victories for Atletico, and I expect a focused effort in this one. In a match I have as closer to even on paper, I think there’s some value on a regulation draw at this price.
