Best NFL Player Prop Bets for Super Bowl LVII (Eagles vs. Chiefs)

As Super Bowl LVII approaches, it’s time to start putting money on some prop bets ahead of the big game Sunday in Arizona. Numerous hundreds of football odds markets are available to bet on, including numerous individual props for yardage and touchdowns, depending on where you place your wager.

To locate the bets I like the most, I’ve spent most of the week going through the widely available props. Here are a few I’m dialed in on.

Best Props for Super Bowl LVII (2023)

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Super Bowl MVP: Travis Kelce (+1200)

The Super Bowl MVP has never been a tight end, and I think that has a decent chance of changing right here.

In this case, Kelce might benefit from the absence of tight-end MVPs. If he puts up impressive numbers on Sunday, as Kelce did against the Raiders on Monday Night Football this season (25 receiving yards but four touchdowns), there might be an unconscious feeling in the crowd that this is the time for a tight end to win the award.

In all honesty, I believe that only Patrick Mahomes and Kelce have a chance at taking home the trophy for Kansas City. With that in mind, this was the only Chiefs MVP wager I was interested in placing since I would rather bet the moneyline than Mahomes’ odds.

Eagles First Half Touhcdowns: Over 1.5 (+115)

This Philadelphia club has a history of strong starts throughout the season, followed by strong lead protection and a slight reduction in intensity. In this game, I anticipate seeing both teams move the ball. Since the Chiefs’ defense suffers in the red zone, I believe Philadelphia will be able to score touchdowns rather than have to settle for field goals. Philadelphia has scored seven first-half touchdowns in its previous two playoff games, so I’m betting on them to score at least twice more in the opening period at a profit.

First Scoring Play: Field Goal (+150)

Field goals have opened the scoring in five of the last six Super Bowls. Plus, the only game during that time period to begin with a touchdown had a field goal as the game’s second scoring play. Each of the Chiefs’ two Super Bowl appearances in the previous three seasons also began with a field goal. I like those odds a lot, especially with the teams still getting used to the setting and the Chiefs’ defense playing well recently.
