It is the last football game of the season, and it looks like it could be a great one. While that's great for fans, it can be frustrating for bettors. Either team could easily win a competitive game. But if you're okay with winning a little less to gain an edge, you can with a teaser bet.
What's a teaser bet, you ask. Don't worry. We'll go over what one is before reviewing our best early Super Bowl 59 teaser bet.

What's a Teaser?
A teaser is a type of parlay that allows you to change each leg of the parlay by a given amount, typically six points (can be higher or lower depending on the sportsbook). The purpose of doing so is to make it easier for you to win each leg and, in effect, your parlay.
In exchange for the points, you don't win as much. Let's look at an example using the betting line from the AFC Divisional Round game between the Chiefs and Texans.
Kansas City was a 9.5-point favorite (-9.5), and the TOTAL was 41.5 points. Let's say you put money down on a same-game parlay and took the Chiefs -9.5 and the OVER. Since the final score was 23-14, you lost on both legs. If you had teased it with 6 points, your bet would have been the Chiefs -3.5 and OVER 35.5.
You win. You'll win less, but you'll win.
Best Super Bowl 59 Teaser Bet
If you've been monitoring the line for Super Bowl 59, you know that the spread opened with the Chiefs at -1.5, moved quickly to -2 shortly after the odds were posted, and then returned to -1.5. It may not move again, but the idea of the Eagles at +1.5 or the Chiefs at -1.5 does not sound appealing.
However, you remember how the commentators of just about every Chiefs game talked about how often Kansas City won by one score. So, you do some homework and see that the Chiefs won 11 games by seven points or less.
Philadelphia is a pretty good team, so it is doubtful the Chiefs blow them out of the water. But it would not be shocking if it were another one-score win for Kansas City. Since you need a second leg, let's look at the TOTAL.
It opened at 49.5 points, which made sense since the Eagles averaged 27.2 points per game during the regular season and the Chiefs 22.6 points per game. The TOTAL can still be found at 49.5 points but can be had at 49 points at certain books.
Let's say you feel like the final score will be right around 49 points, making it hard to choose between the OVER or UNDER. So, you take the OVER, but with six points, your TOTAL is 55 points.
For argument’s sake, the final score of the game is Chiefs 27, Eagles 20. If you took the Eagles at +1.5 and the OVER at 49, you lose. But since you teased the bet with six points, you'll have the Eagles at +7.5 and the TOTAL at 43 points.
You win.
The Payout
For this example, let's say you are placing your bet at Caesars Sportsbook. If you bet a traditional same-game parlay with the Eagles at +1.5 and the OVER at 49, the odds for your SGP would be +264. A $100 wager would result in a $364 payday, your stake plus $264 in winnings.
But since you teased the bet with six points (Eagles +7.5, OVER 43 points), the odds are -125. A $100 wager will result in a $180 payday, your stake plus $80 in winnings.
You don't win as much, but winning something sure is better than losing.
