We cashed a +550 Filip Forsberg double goal last night. Today, we’re focused on the Penguins and top-line forward Bryan Rust.

Best NHL Plus Money Player Prop Bets

POTD: Bryan Rust 2+ Points (+350 FanDuel)

About a month ago, it looked like the Penguins had absolutely just quit on their season. I watched a couple of their games, and they looked frustrated with each other and completely lackadaisical about doing anything meaningful on the ice.

Then it all changed.

The team in this clip does not resemble that other squad at all. It’s like the oldest team in the league found the Fountain of Youth and has now moved into sole possession of the last wild-card spot in the East with three games to play. The Red Wings, Flyers, and Capitals are all one game back, meaning the Penguins have everything to play for at home against the Bruins tonight.

Bryan Rust has been instrumental in the turnaround. He has 18 points in 17 games since March 1, including eight in six April games. You can go two points on Sidney Crosby (+200), but I like the payday on Rust nabbing two instead.
