For the visiting Panthers, the QB carousel has plagued them all season long as they come into this week on a three-game slide as their playoff hopes are all but gone.

Overview

Having lost three of their last four, the Bills have seen a top spot in the AFC standings turn into a situation where they are hanging on for dear life even to make the playoffs. While it hasn’t translated into wins at the pace you’d expect, the Bills still come into this week with one of the league’s top defenses, allowing just 288.9 yards (#1) and 17.6 points (#3) per game.

For the visiting Panthers, those quarterback woes have gone from bad to okay, to worse, as Sam Darnold was benched for PJ Walker, who was later benched for the return of Cam Newton. Since Newton came in late and won a mid-November game vs. the Cardinals, the Panthers have lost three straight as Newton is now splitting time with Walker.

Bottom Line

As good as the Bills defense has been, the Panther’s defense is trailing only just behind. Coming into this week inside the top 10 in total yards, passing yards, and total points scored allowed, the Panther’s defense is the only thing keeping their head above water in the NFC.

Add in a Panthers offense scoring less than 20 points per game, and all things point to the under for me in this one.
