Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prop Bets (2022)

It’s round two of this matchup, as these two teams faced off almost a month ago in a high-scoring shootout. We saw Patrick Mahomes vs. Josh Allen last week in a rivalry that could go on for the next decade, but now Joe Burrow wants to make a case that he should be included in the next generation of great quarterbacks. We’ve highlighted all the notable players to see how their performance could send their team to the big game.

Joe Burrow Passing Yards O/U 286.5 yards

Joe Burrow has been lighting it up lately, including 348 passing yards against the top-seeded Tennessee Titans last week. This week, he gets a familiar foe in a Kansas City Chiefs team that he torched for 446 yards and four touchdowns not even a month ago. This time it will be on the road, and we know Arrowhead is one of the most challenging places to play. However, this is not a challenging defense he’s facing. Kansas City ranks 27th this season in both passing yards allowed (251.4) and net yards gained per pass (6.7) while ranking 24th in yards gained per attempt (7.3). Last week, the Titans could not cover the receiving core of Tee Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase and C.J. Uzomah, as they all averaged ten yards per catch. The Chiefs don’t expect the defense to make the stops to squeak by with a win, as they are going to try and outshoot their opponent in what could be a high-scoring affair similar to their divisional-round matchup.

Pick: Over 286.5 passing yards

Ja’Marr Chase Receiving Yards O/U 87.5

If you had Ja’Marr Chase on your fantasy team and played in the championship, his performance against Kansas City most likely sealed your title. He went off for an absurd 266 receiving yards and three touchdowns. You can’t expect those types of cheat code numbers, but I’m taking his over on yards this week. Parlay that with the anytime touchdown and I’ll drop all the salary on grabbing him in DFS.

Pick: Over 87.5 receiving yards

Bryon Pringle Receiving Yards O/U 37.5

We’ve seen Pringle step into more of a role towards the end of the season. He’s seen at least seven targets in each of the last five games and has turned that into five catches in four of these matchups. In the last game against the Bengals, Pringle had four catches for 35 yards, but he should attract more targets as he’ll most likely see a lot of Eli Apple in coverage, who may be too distracted from all the Twitter love he saw this week.

Pick: Over 37.5 receiving yards

Travis Kelce Anytime TD

Travis Kelce was the hero in last week’s victory over Buffalo, as he caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime to put the Chiefs in this game. Kelce is behind Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman in red-zone targets (13), but he leads the team red zone completion percentage (84.6). Hill will definitely get his chance, but Hardman has taken a backseat in target share during the playoffs. Kelce is obviously Patrick Mahomes’ biggest and most trustworthy target.

Pick: Anytime TD

Patrick Mahomes Rushing Yards O/U 28.5

Mahomes was able to make an impact both through the air and on the ground last week against Buffalo with a career-high 69 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. When facing one of the league’s better pass defenses, Mahomes needed to find any way possible to move the ball, as Buffalo did well at collapsing the pocket and forcing Mahomes to tuck and run. This week, he gets a less challenging pass defense, as the Bengals allowed the seventh-most passing yards per game this season. Cincinnati was not challenged much by quarterbacks attempting to run — they faced the third-fewest rushing attempts by quarterbacks this season (57). Mahomes only ran it twice in the last game against the Bengals, and one was for 17 yards. Expect him to stay in the pocket and keep the ball in the air as he looks to send his team to the Super Bowl.

Pick: Under 28.5
