Coco Gauff 2023 Wimbledon Best Bets: Odds, Picks & Predictions

Since Serena Williams won back-to-back Wimbledon titles in 2015 and 2016, the sixth and seventh such titles of her career, the Women’s side at the All England Lawn Tennis Club has been wide open. Garbine Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep, Ashleigh Barty, and Elena Rybakina have made it five different first-time winners in the last five years at Wimbledon, and none of those champions have even reached a final in any other year in that span. In fact, over the previous three Wimbledons, six different women have reached the final. World No. 1 Iga Swiatek and No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka have won the first two Grand Slams of the season. Will either of them make it six consecutive years with a first-time Wimbledon winner? Or can someone else ranked fourth or lower on the odds leaderboard (at +1300 odds or lower) make a nice payday for futures bettors?

2023 Wimbledon Best Bets & Picks: Coco Gauff

Here is our betting outlook for 2023 Wimbledon.

2023 Wimbledon Betting Predictions

Not many have better serving numbers than Cori Gauff, who has won 72.2% of her service games on grass this year, and 70.3% of her service games overall. Gauff is 19-10 in ten tournaments so far this season, but has yet to win a title. Per OptaAce, Gauff made history at Roland Garros this year, becoming the first teenager to win 15+ main draw matches at the major since Martina Hingis in 1998. Since then, she reached the semifinals at Eastbourne with a big victory over Jessica Pegula along the way, but also lost disappointingly in the Round of 16 in Berlin against Ekaterina Alexandrova, winning just four total games in the straight-set loss.

2023 Wimbledon Betting Advice & Picks

Gauff’s 8-3 record and two fourth-round appearances in three Wimbledons suggests she is on the precipice of bigger success. However, she faces fellow American Sofia Kenin in the first round, and Kenin beat her in 2020 en route to winning the 2020 Australian Open. We are more likely to back Kenin at +360 to win her first round match (despite Gauff winning 16 consecutive WTA first round matches) than we are to back Gauff at +330 to win her quarter.
