College Basketball Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions: Monday (2/13)
Welcome to the Monday college basketball slate. March Madness is right around the corner, I can almost taste it. I've been on a bit of a cold streak of late, but that only means I'm due for a bounce back. There are some solid matchups today, but remember not to force any bets you don't love. There is still plenty of season left.

Mondayâs Best College Basketball Bets
Here are my best bets for Monday.
West Virginia at Baylor
After playing in their worst game of the season efficiency-wise, West Virginia looks to bounce back against Baylor in Waco tonight.
What was quite surprising about that drubbing of the Mountaineers is that they rank high in the consistency metric and playing away from home. Their 17th-ranked offense did not show out against Texas with their 60-point outing. I believe they are due for a bounce-back game tonight.
Baylor's top-ranked offense will be tough to stop with its dynamic backcourt and its ability to capitalize on second-chance looks. Over 21 percent of their points come from the charity stripe, and West Virginia has difficulty avoiding fouling.
Both teams are offensively focused and will score a lot of points with the clock stopped at the free-throw line. West Virginia should regress positively to where they've been playing all season, and Baylor is tough to stop at home. I'm expecting a shootout here tonight.
Play: Over 148.5 (-110 DraftKings)
Miami (FL) at North Carolina
With UNC losing three of their last four games, they are in desperate need of getting off the bubble as they look for a win tonight against Miami in Chapel Hill.
When UNC is on, they are dangerous, and we saw that with their 91-point performance against Clemson. They take care of the ball with a preference for scoring in the interior, where Miami allows nearly 55 percent of their opponentâs points to come from. The Hurricanes also struggle on the defensive glass, so even if they are off tonight, UNC should have plenty of second-chance looks.
Miami's ninth-ranked offense should show out tonight, too, with their ability to score in transition and 66 percent near-proximity shooting expected to show out. Miami ranks 27th in playing away from home, and they are riding a four-game win streak.
Life's too short to bet the under, right?
Play: Over 153.5 (-110 FanDuel)
Texas at Texas Tech
After the game they had this weekend, I'm surprised Texas isn't favored by 20 tonight in Lubbock.
But the 4/4.5 line is right. For every great game they have, the Longhorns are capable of a dud as well. Ranking 297th in the consistency metric, they aren't the most trustworthy team, and it's shown.
Texas Tech isn't the scary Red Raiders of the past this year, however. Sitting at 13-12, Mark Adams hasn't exactly been wizardly as Tech currently ranks 66th in KenPom and has a lot of work to do if they expect to make the NCAA Tournament. What they are known for is their interior defense, allowing fewer than half of the opponentâs points to come from inside the arc, forcing turnovers at a higher rate as well.
Tech has a renewed hatred for Texas after their coach left for the Longhorns, but their offense is quite bad, and I fully expect plenty of turnovers for the Red Raiders. I am not usually only betting over/unders, but I guess life is long enough to bet a few unders.
