College Basketball Odds, Picks & Predictions: Tuesday (11/12)
The 2024-25 NCAA Menâs College Basketball season is underway. We have a full slate of games today, including the top-ranked Kansas Jayhawks meeting the Michigan State Spartans at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The Duke Blue Devils and Kentucky Wildcats battle in the second end of the double dip in Georgia.
I tend to focus on smaller schools, however. The key to betting college basketball, with over 300 teams, is to focus on just a handful of conferences and get to know the teams well. If you try to bet hundreds of teams it wonât go well for you in the long term. Since we have a larger slate than last week, weâll tackle a few games with shorter, more succinct analyses.
Letâs get that bankroll in the black with our best college basketball picks for Tuesday, November 12.

Tuesdayâs Best College Basketball Picks
Last Week: 2-0 (100%, +200) | Season: 2-0 (100%, +200) | Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | All picks are for 1 unit
Old Dominion Monarchs (+172) at Radford Highlanders (-215) | O/U 143.5 (-108/-112)
The Monarchs of Old Dominion (0-2) hit the road to meet the Highlanders of Radford (1-1) at the Dedmon Center in Radford, Va.
Old Dominion has had a rough start to the season. They lost 83-82 at home to Buffalo to kick off the season in a game it was favored by 10.5 points. That narrow loss looked even worse when Division III Fredonia State took Buffalo to the mat over the weekend before the Bulls escaped. On Saturday, the Monarchs were in Arizona, where they were trucked 102-44 by the Wildcats, not even coming close to cover as a 33-point favorite and the under (163) cashed.
Radford was no match at Pittsburgh in a 96-56 loss, but they posted an 89-77 win over William & Mary to cover as a 3-point underdog at home, and the over (148.5) cashed. Radford has a terrible defense and Old Dominion isnât great at that end, either. Letâs go high on this game.
Pick: Over 143.5 Points (-108)
North Florida Ospreys (+375) at Georgia Bulldogs (-500) | O/U 158 (-110/-110)
My favorite team during the early portion of the season has been the Ospreys of North Florida (3-0) from the Atlantic Sun Conference. I donât know what the future holds, but if this team manages to get into the NCAA Tournament, look out.
North Florida burst onto the scene last Monday with a 74-71 win at South Carolina as a 19-point underdog as the over (141.5) cashed. Rather than having a hangover, it came home and blasted Charleston Southern 90-66 to cover as a 7.5-point favorite as the over (147.5) again cashed. On Sunday, North Florida was on the road against another Power 5 team, and it was another upset win. The Ospreys picked up the 105-93 win at Georgia Tech as a 14-point underdog, again cashing the over (154.5).
Georgia (2-0) has topped Tennessee Tech and Texas Southern, splitting against the spread while hitting the over in both outings. The over has cashed comfortably in both games for the Bulldogs, too. Weâll go with a Same-Game Parlay (SGP) here, taking North Florida with the points and weâll lean to the 0ver.
Picks: North Florida +11.5 (-110) & Over 158.5 Points (-110)
Akron Zips (+680) at Saint Maryâs Gaels (-1100) | O/U 138.5 (-110/-110)
Out west, the Zips of Akron (1-1) hit the road for the Bay Area to tangle with the Gaels of Saint Maryâs (2-0). This is a dangerous game for the Gaels. Akron opened the season with an 80-75 loss in overtime against Arkansas State, before bouncing back with an 88-57 victory over Ohio Wesleyan.
The Zips cashed the over (148.5) against Arkansas State in the overtime loss. For Saint Maryâs, it has cashed high in both games to date. The Gaels failed to cover in a 76-69 win over Towson, but the over (127) comfortably came in. Against Chattanooga on Thursday night, the Gaels took care of the Mocs 86-74, but they also failed to cover. The over (137) once again cashed in rather easy fashion, however.
Pick: Over 138.5 Points (-110)
